Jesus told His disciples that the Son of man would be coming two times. He gave them the context and information for the pre-trib appearing (days of Noah and Lot), as well as the tribulation sign (Rev 12) that would precede His Second Coming, to rule and reign. The instructions and context are different for each one, although they are somewhat close in timing. The more that we study the context of what Jesus said, we will have the best understanding of when He wants us to be ready – and to be expecting Him. Maranatha!
“But understand this: If the owner of the house had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him. Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time?”
– Matthew 24:43-45
“So keep watch at all times, and pray that you may have the strength to escape all that is about to happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”
– Luke 21:36
